During placement, candidates are paid so they could earn a salary while they work.
Going on a placement gives students the opportunity to practically use their academic knowledge in their workplace and gain practical work experience.
The duration of the placement may vary depending upon the course of the candidate and the employer.
Offering you an insight into the ‘World of Work’ and allows you to get a feel for what you do and don’t like doing.
The process of searching jobs and placements starts from the very first year, it begins with making connections and establishing the kinds of opportunities that interest you. There are several ways to do this, like attending careers fair, connecting with university alumni or discussing your options with fellow classmates.
You’ll then begin your training for placements from your second year. The university placement cell will help and advise you throughout this process.
