The Assam Royal Global University signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Tour Operators Association of Assam on 10th July, 2024. This MoU is dedicated to harmoniously enhancing tourism education and the tourism industry. Together, we aim to ensure quality education and promote inclusive tourism, fostering growth and innovation in both sectors.
The Faculty Colloquium 2024, organized by the Human Resource Development Centre at The Assam Royal Global University, was inaugurated on 8th July, 2024. Members of faculty presented research and engaged in dynamic discussions in the technical sessions.
The Department of Zoology, Royal School of Life Sciences held an invited talk on 'Decoding Breast Cancer Challenges - Early Detection and Prevention of Cancer with Sustainable Solutions', 21st March. Speaker, Dr. Lopamudra Das Roy, distinguished Cancer Scientist, Research Professor, Founder, and President of Breast Cancer Hub, North Carolina U.S.A., emphasized on various aspects of Breast Cancer, its stages, the significance of screening, susceptibility factors, and the role of students in Cancer Research and Advocacy. She also highlighted the importance of awareness and discussed innovative prevention strategies, including the role of Diet and Stress Management.
The Department of Mathematics, Royal School of Applied and Pure Sciences celebrated Pi Day on 14thMarch, 2024. Guest Speaker for the occasion Prof. (Dr.) Swaroop Nandan Bora, Professor, Department of Mathematics, IIT Guwahati shared the significance of ‘Pi’ in Mathematics and its wide-ranging impact on various fields. Along with inauguration of the second edition of the department’s wall magazine, a 'Pi Memorization Contest’ was organized for the students
On March 7th, 2024, students from the Department of Zoology and the Zoology Club raised awareness among drug addicts through a compelling skit and presentations at the Manbha Foundation (NGO, working for drug abuse awareness and prevention) in Shillong. Following the event, students visited Elephant Falls for recreational purposes and immersed themselves in the tribal community's cultural experience.
On March 14, 2024, renowned dancer Dr. Malabika Mitra graced our stage with a mesmerizing Kathak recital, hosted by the Department of Student Welfare, Royal Global University in collaboration with SPIC MACAY and supported by the SRF foundation.Kathak exponent Sri Bipul Das graced the occasion as an esteemed guest.
The Royal School of Communication and Media (RSCOM) at Royal Global University hosted a captivating lecture on the "Role of Media in Child Protection" on 20th March, 2024. Featuring Mr. Miguel Das Queah, renowned child rights activist and founder of Utsah Child Rights Organisation, alongside Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Singh, Vice Chancellor, Royal Global University as the Chief Patron and Ms. Florence Handique Rabha, HOD of RSCOM. Mr. Queah engaged in an interactive session the importance of Child Protection, emphasizing media's influential role in safeguarding children.

The Royal School of Information Technology and Department of Computer Science Engineering, Royal School of Engineering and Technology organized a 3-day Hands-On Workshop on 'Python for Machine Learning' from the 4th of March, 2024. Mr. Bhaskar Syamal, the Resource Person for the workshop explained various applications of Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.
The three-day, workshop aimed to equip students with practical skills and knowledge essential for harnessing the power of Python in the field of machine learning.
The Human Resource Development Centre, Royal Global University organized a workshop on 'PRISM-Promoting Innovation in Individuals, Startups, and MSMEs', on April 23, by Dr. Anil Kumar from Department of Scientific and Industrial Research (DSIR), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India, and Prof. Dr. Sukhomay Pal, renowned professor of Mechanical Engineering from IIT Guwahati.
The speakers guided their audience on the intricacies of innovation, including 'Idea Generation' and the various financial schemes available under PRISM program for their ventures, spanning from Patenting to the Commercialization of Products. The workshop was attended by Research Scholars, Postgraduate Students, and teachers eager to explore opportunities for innovation and entrepreneurship. The session was wound up with an interactive segment wherein participants had their queries addressed by the expert speakers, providing valuable insight into leveraging PRISM effectively in their pursuits of Innovation and Research.
The Royal School of Pharmacy, organized a Basic Life Support (BLS) Training Session on Cardiac Arrest. Led by expert doctors from AIIMS, Guwahati, the session provided crucial training on First Aid and Cardiac Arrest Response.
International Yoga Day 2024, was celebrated at Royal Global University with a special Yoga session on 21st June, 2024. The sessions were led by qualified instructors Dr. Madhan Borah and Dr. Donirung Reang from the department of Yogic Science and Naturopathy, Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankaradeva Viswavidyalaya, who engaged in an Interactive Session with the participants, and conducted Yoga practices, respectively.

Royal School of Pharmacy celebrated 'National Pharmacy Education Day' as 'Pharma Anveshan' on the theme 'Leveraging Synergism: Industry-Academia Partnership for Implementation of National Education Policy' on the 6th of March, 2024. The invited speakers for the occasion Prof. (Dr.) Hemanta Kr. Sharma emphasized on incorporation of newer technologies and AI in the current curriculum to broaden the student’s perspective, while Ms. Sukirti Das, Member, Pharmacy Council of India, State Government Nominee, Assam, stressed on the collaboration of pharmaceutical industries with academic institutions for implementation of National Education Policy in the curriculum.

An elocution competition was also held on the occasion where Ms. Manjaya Basumatary, won the 1st prize along with a cash amount of Rs. 3000, Ms. Ananya Gogoi won the second prize along with a cash amount of Rs. 2000, and Ms. Akansha Deka won the third prize and a cash amount of Rs. 1000

The Assam Royal Global University conducted an Awareness Program on the occassion of Rare Disease Day on the 29th of February 2024. Dr. Ujjal Chakraborty, (General laproscopic Surgeon MBBS, MS, FMAS, FACRSI, FIAGES) from East End Nursing Home and Research Institute, Guwahati, threw light upon ‘Achieving True Equity For 300 Million People Across The World With A Rare Condition’ at a seminar in the varsity.
On February 14th, 2024, The Assam Royal Global University celebrated Saraswati Puja with great fervor and enthusiasm. The event commenced with traditional rituals invoking Goddess Saraswati, followed by prayers and offerings by students and faculty members alike. The campus was adorned with decorations, reflecting the rich cultural heritage associated with the festival. Students dressed in traditional attire added to the festive ambiance. The highlight of the celebration was the ‘Pushpanjali’ offering wherein participants offered flowers to seek blessings of the Goddess of Knowledge. The event concluded with a community feast, fostering unity and camaraderie among the university community. Overall, the Saraswati Puja celebration at Royal Global University brought together spirituality with cultural exuberance.
Women's Day Celebration at Royal Global University On March 8th, 2024, The Assam Royal Global University celebrated International Women's Day with a series of vibrant and empowering events. Resource Persons Ms. Violet Barua, Retd. Inspector General of Police, Indian Police Service, Smt. Suranjana Senapati, Director of Elementary Education, Government of Assam, Dr. Meghali Senapati, Faculty, Tata Institute of Social Sciences engaged with students and faculty in Panel Discussions on ‘Women's Rights’, ‘Gender Stereotypes’, and ‘Women In Leadership Roles’ organized by Students’ Welfare.
The Assam Royal Global University marked World Social Work Day on 19th March, 2024, with a series of insightful events. The occasion began with a seminar highlighting the role of social workers in community development and social justice. Students and faculty engaged in panel discussions, emphasizing the importance of social work in addressing contemporary societal issues. The university also organized interactive sessions, fostering a deeper understanding of the profession's impact.
The Assam Royal Global University inaugurated its Counseling Cell. This facility aims to provide a supportive environment for students facing academic, personal, or emotional challenges. Department of Physiotherapy organized a Guest Lecture on 'Advanced Sports Nutrition' by Mr Prateek Borbora, Health and Fitness Coach, Assam Badminton Academy, who discussed the importance of Sports Nutrition for Performance Enhancement and various recent developments in finding out nutritional status of sports persons, on 25th May, 2024.
Royal Global University Celebrates Republic Day 75th Republic Day was celebrated with gaiety and patriotic fervor at Royal Global University today. The tri-color was unfurled by Dr. A K Pansari, Chancellor, in the presence of Pro-Chancellor Sri A K Modi, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) SP Singh, deans, senior members from the fraternity, faculty, staff, and students.
The varsity's Literary Club 'Sigma Voice' held a colorful cultural program and filled the campus air with renditions of patriotic songs, stirring love and brotherhood. A troupe from Banaras Hindu University added a touch of grace to the program. This was followed by a friendly cricket match played between staff and faculty.
However, the highlight of the day was the MoU signing ceremony with a Nepalese delegation visiting Royal Global University, in pursuit of excellence and transcending international borders.

Chief Guest, Justice (Retd.) (Dr.) Mukundakam Sharma, Former Judge, Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, and Hon’ble Justice Soumitra Saikia, Judge, Gauhati High Court, addressed the participants in the Valedictory Session leaving the legal fraternity spell bound.

The Department of Geology at Royal Global University hosted 'TERRA TALK' on 17th May, 2024, featuring an Inter-School Debate Competition on 'Plastic Should be Globally Banned' and an Inter-College Debate Competition on 'India will Transform into a Developed Nation by 2047'. Ms. Darshana Patowary from Lorent Convent School was judged the 'Best Debater', while Ms. Aastha Saikia and Mr. Shriyansh Tiwari from St. Mary's Senior Secondary School, North Lakhimpur, were recognized as the 'Best Team' in the Inter-School Debate Competition. Runners-up Mr. Punyabrat Choudhury and Mr. Mayukh Indradev Adhikari from Delhi Public School- Guwahati proved to be tough competitors. The Inter-College Debate Competition saw enthusiastic participation from twenty-four colleges across Assam. Mr. Sunit Sarma from J.B. Law College, Guwahati, was awarded the 'Best Debater' spot, while Mr. Geetartha Bora and Mr. Jeet Pathak from Sibsagar Commerce College, were recognized as the 'Best Team'. Ms. Arunima Dhar and Ms. NiskamanaAsomiya from The Assam Royal Global University, the runners-up, gave the house considerable food-for-thought.
