Basic Life Support Training at Royal Global University -

The Royal School of Pharmacy, organized a Basic Life Support (BLS) Training Session on Cardiac Arrest. Led by expert doctors from AIIMS, Guwahati, the session provided crucial training on First Aid and Cardiac Arrest Response.

International Yoga Day 2024 by Students’ Welfare -

International Yoga Day 2024, was celebrated at Royal Global University with a special Yoga session on 21st June, 2024. The sessions were led by qualified instructors Dr. Madhan Borah and Dr. Donirung Reang from the department of Yogic Science and Naturopathy, Mahapurusha Srimanta Sankaradeva Viswavidyalaya, who engaged in an Interactive Session with the participants, and conducted Yoga practices, respectively.

This session offered a multitude of benefits, including stress reduction, improved flexibility and strength, and enhanced mental clarity, proving to be a wonderful opportunity to:

  • Learn basic yoga postures and breathing techniques.
  • Experience the holistic benefits of yoga in a supportive and friendly environment.

Pharma Anveshan by Royal School of Pharmacy -

Royal School of Pharmacy celebrated 'National Pharmacy Education Day' as 'Pharma Anveshan' on the theme 'Leveraging Synergism: Industry-Academia Partnership for Implementation of National Education Policy' on the 6th of March, 2024. The invited speakers for the occasion Prof. (Dr.) Hemanta Kr. Sharma emphasized on incorporation of newer technologies and AI in the current curriculum to broaden the student’s perspective, while Ms. Sukirti Das, Member, Pharmacy Council of India, State Government Nominee, Assam, stressed on the collaboration of pharmaceutical industries with academic institutions for implementation of National Education Policy in the curriculum.

Prof. (Dr.) L. K. Nath, Dean, Royal School of Pharmacy, faculty members and students were present on the occasion. An elocution competition was also held on the occasion where Ms. Manjaya Basumatary, won the 1st prize along with a cash amount of Rs. 3000, Ms. Ananya Gogoi won the second prize along with a cash amount of Rs. 2000, and Ms. Akansha Deka won the third prize and a cash amount of Rs. 1000

The Poet’s Vanity 2024 by Royal School of Business -

‘The Poet’s Vanity’ was organized on the 21st of March, 2024, to celebrate World Poetry Day by Royal School of Business. This was graced by the Resource Persons Mr. Mashud Khalidur Rahman, alumnus of Royal Global University, and Ms. Priya G. Tiwari, Founder, Irshaad.

Rare Disease Day 2024 by Royal School of Pharmacy -

The Assam Royal Global University conducted an Awareness Program on the occassion of Rare Disease Day on the 29th of February 2024. Dr. Ujjal Chakraborty, (General laproscopic Surgeon MBBS, MS, FMAS, FACRSI, FIAGES) from East End Nursing Home and Research Institute, Guwahati, threw light upon ‘Achieving True Equity For 300 Million People Across The World With A Rare Condition’ at a seminar in the varsity.

Saraswati Puja 2024 by Department of Social Work and Students’ Affairs -

On February 14th, 2024, The Assam Royal Global University celebrated Saraswati Puja with great fervor and enthusiasm. The event commenced with traditional rituals invoking Goddess Saraswati, followed by prayers and offerings by students and faculty members alike. The campus was adorned with decorations, reflecting the rich cultural heritage associated with the festival. Students dressed in traditional attire added to the festive ambiance. The highlight of the celebration was the ‘Pushpanjali’ offering wherein participants offered flowers to seek blessings of the Goddess of Knowledge. The event concluded with a community feast, fostering unity and camaraderie among the university community. Overall, the Saraswati Puja celebration at Royal Global University brought together spirituality with cultural exuberance.

Women’s Day 2024 by Students’ Affairs -

Women's Day Celebration at Royal Global University On March 8th, 2024, The Assam Royal Global University celebrated International Women's Day with a series of vibrant and empowering events. Resource Persons Ms. Violet Barua, Retd. Inspector General of Police, Indian Police Service, Smt. Suranjana Senapati, Director of Elementary Education, Government of Assam, Dr. Meghali Senapati, Faculty, Tata Institute of Social Sciences engaged with students and faculty in Panel Discussions on ‘Women's Rights’, ‘Gender Stereotypes’, and ‘Women In Leadership Roles’ organized by Students’ Welfare.

Social Work Day 2024 by Department of Social Work -

The Assam Royal Global University marked World Social Work Day on 19th March, 2024, with a series of insightful events. The occasion began with a seminar highlighting the role of social workers in community development and social justice. Students and faculty engaged in panel discussions, emphasizing the importance of social work in addressing contemporary societal issues. The university also organized interactive sessions, fostering a deeper understanding of the profession's impact.

Counselling Cell Inauguration -

The Assam Royal Global University inaugurated its Counseling Cell. This facility aims to provide a supportive environment for students facing academic, personal, or emotional challenges. The Counseling Cell will offer confidential support and guidance through trained professionals to ensure students' holistic development. Faculty members and students welcomed the initiative, anticipating its positive impact on the campus community.

National Science Day Celebration -

On the occasion of National Science Day, Royal School of Applied and Pure Sciences organised a seminar on ‘Indigenious Technology for VikSit Bharat’ on 28th February, 2024.

Guest Lecture on ‘Advanced Sports Nutrition’ by Department of Physiotherapy -

Department of Physiotherapy organized a Guest Lecture on 'Advanced Sports Nutrition' by Mr Prateek Borbora, Health and Fitness Coach, Assam Badminton Academy, who discussed the importance of Sports Nutrition for Performance Enhancement and various recent developments in finding out nutritional status of sports persons, on 25th May, 2024.

75th Republic Day Celebrations -

Royal Global University Celebrates Republic Day 75th Republic Day was celebrated with gaiety and patriotic fervor at Royal Global University today. The tri-color was unfurled by Dr. A K Pansari, Chancellor, in the presence of Pro-Chancellor Sri A K Modi, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) SP Singh, deans, senior members from the fraternity, faculty, staff, and students.

The varsity's Literary Club 'Sigma Voice' held a colorful cultural program and filled the campus air with renditions of patriotic songs, stirring love and brotherhood. A troupe from Banaras Hindu University added a touch of grace to the program. This was followed by a friendly cricket match played between staff and faculty.

However, the highlight of the day was the MoU signing ceremony with a Nepalese delegation visiting Royal Global University, in pursuit of excellence and transcending international borders.

Celebration of World No Tobacco Day
Department of Psychology organized a Seminar on 'Burden of Tobacco on Human Society' by Dr. H.K. Bhattacharya, Joint Director of Health Services (HQ), State Nodal Officer, National Tobacco Control Program, Assam, today, to celebrate 'World No Tobacco Day, 2024'.

2-Days International Conference on 'Sustainable Entrepreneurship' -

Royal School of Commerce organized a Two-Days International Conference on 'Sustainable Entrepreneurship: Perspectives of Industry and Academia' that focusses on 'SDG 4: Quality Education' and 'SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure' at The Assam Royal Global University.
Guest of Honour, Dr. R. Murugesan, Director, National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR), North Eastern Regional Centre (NERC), Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India, and Chief Guest Mr. Pawan Kumar Agarwalla, CEO and Founder of Datamation Services, Guwahati, Business Coach and Leader graced the Inauguration Ceremony. They were accompanied by Prof. Achinta Kumar Sarmah, Faculty, Operations and Quantitative Area, IIM Shillong, Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Health Check Up -

Career Counselling Session organized by Royal Global University -

Dr. Partha Sarathi Mahanta, Author and Director, along with Sahitya Akademi Awardee Sri Manoj Kumar Goswami held a CAREER COUNSELLING SESSION organized by Royal Global University at Nogaon Cultural Complex, on the 3rd of June, 2024. This session that was supported by Ramanujan Senior Secondary School, Nogaon, was also addressed by Prof. P. J. Mahanta, Royal School of Languages.

Cloth Donation Drive -

Optima - The Management Club hosted 'Royal Threads of Hope- A Cloth Donation Drive' with support from Royal Vastra Seva at 'Jibanalaya - A Children's Home' which is an initiative of the organisation-Care U 365, on the 30th of May, 2024. The children at Jibanalaya had a gala time with Royalites, engaging in fun activities and cheerful banter.

Royal Global University’s National Moot Court Competition 2024, held from the 23rd of May, 2024, and organized by Royal School of Law and Administration (RSLA), concluded on the 25th of May, 2024.

Chief Guest, Justice (Retd.) (Dr.) Mukundakam Sharma, Former Judge, Hon’ble Supreme Court of India, and Hon’ble Justice Soumitra Saikia, Judge, Gauhati High Court, addressed the participants in the Valedictory Session leaving the legal fraternity spell bound.

Royal Music Room was inaugurated on the 24th May of 2024, by Veteran Actor-Producer and Director Sri Pranjal Saikia for students and faculty organized by the Office of Dean, Students’ Welfare in association with Indian Knowledge System Cell.

The Assam Royal Global University held the Semester Toppers' Felicitation Ceremony, today. This event aims to honour students who have excelled in Academics during the Even Semester 2022-23.

Terra Talk by Department of Geology -

The Department of Geology at Royal Global University hosted 'TERRA TALK' on 17th May, 2024, featuring an Inter-School Debate Competition on 'Plastic Should be Globally Banned' and an Inter-College Debate Competition on 'India will Transform into a Developed Nation by 2047'. Ms. Darshana Patowary from Lorent Convent School was judged the 'Best Debater', while Ms. Aastha Saikia and Mr. Shriyansh Tiwari from St. Mary's Senior Secondary School, North Lakhimpur, were recognized as the 'Best Team' in the Inter-School Debate Competition. Runners-up Mr. Punyabrat Choudhury and Mr. Mayukh Indradev Adhikari from Delhi Public School- Guwahati proved to be tough competitors. The Inter-College Debate Competition saw enthusiastic participation from twenty-four colleges across Assam. Mr. Sunit Sarma from J.B. Law College, Guwahati, was awarded the 'Best Debater' spot, while Mr. Geetartha Bora and Mr. Jeet Pathak from Sibsagar Commerce College, were recognized as the 'Best Team'. Ms. Arunima Dhar and Ms. NiskamanaAsomiya from The Assam Royal Global University, the runners-up, gave the house considerable food-for-thought.

The biggest Job Fair in North East India was held at The Assam Royal Global University on 12th May, 2024, in the varsity campus. With over 125 companies including various reputed organisations like Wipro, HDFC Ergo, Novotel-Guwahati, L&T Finance, UpGrad, Reliance Jio, FairStar Cement, WIPRO, Marico Limited, Aditya Birla Fashion And Retail, Taj Cement, Austin Ply, Radisson Blu, GD Pharma, Kotak Life, Marriott-Shillong, Hike Education, Zenus Group, Bajaj Allianz, Taj Vivanta, Dyna Roof, Prag News, Vantage Circle, Teamlease, Yokohama Off Highway Tyres, Protech Group, Beacon Insurance, Audi Guwahati, Teleperformance, JDB Group, Lohia Group, Dyna Roof, Bharati AXA Life Insurance Company Ltd, Reliance Nippon Life Insurance, Jumbo Group, Star Cement and many others participating to finalise candidates for vacancies available at their organizations. Aimed at addressing the issue of exodus of students and skilled talent to other parts of India from the north-east, in search of higher education and jobs, The Assam Royal Global University Job Fair 2023 was designed to guarantee access to equal opportunities for each candidate as per their interest and choice of company.A record number of 1000+ candidates were expected to be placed by the end of the fair.
