Students of MBA organized a Winter Carnival on 'Salesmanship and Sustainable Business Practices' as a part of their curriculum. This carnival aimed at generating maximum profit, the proceeds were donated to charity and community building, on 4th December, 2024.
In a first in any private education institute across Assam, BSNL installed a 5G ready 4G Mobile BTS at Royal Global University, on 4th December, 2024. This BTS was inaugurated by Prof. Y.S.R. Murthy, Vice Chancellor, Royal Global University in the august presence of Sri S.K. Chaurasia, ITS GM BSNL, Prof. Alak K. Buragohain, Chairperson Academics and other senior members of the varsity fraternity along with BSNL Officers. The 4G BTS installed by BSNL is from its Atmanirbhar 4G technology stack, a technology that has catapulted India to the league of select Nations having their own indigenously developed telecom gear- only 5th in the world. Royal Global University has allocated space in the GHI block for the installation, which will enhance BSNL connectivity on campus and in surrounding areas, benefiting both students and residents with improved mobile coverage.
The Raising Day of the NCC-RGU, a unit of the 30 Battalion Assam NCC was held on 3rd December, 2024, at The Assam Royal Global University was held today, in the presence of Brig. Ajit Kumar Borah, Vishisht Seva Medal, Group Commander NCC group Headquarter, Guwahati; Col. S. Anup, Commanding Officer, 30 Assam Battalion NCC; Lt. Col. C. P. Sharma, Officiating C.O., 1 Assam Battalion NCC; Wng. Comm. H. Upadhyay, Shaurya Chakra, Officer Commanding, 50 Air Squadron NCC; Lt. Comm. Debanand Doley, Officer Commanding, 48 Naval Unit NCC, Maj. N.K. Lohan, and Prof. Capt. Hemeswari Bhuyan. The university’s NCC office inaugurated today, had accepted 28 cadets out of 300 applications, thereby founding the first batch of potential NCC officers from the university. The varsity's NCC office was also inaugurated.

The 4th Convocation Ceremony of The Assam Royal Global University (RGU) was held on 30th November, 2024, with great pomp and grandeur at the university campus in Guwahati. The prestigious event was presided over by the Visitor of the University, Hon'ble Governor of Assam- Sri Lakshman Prasad Acharya. The ceremony was graced by Sri Piyush Goyal, the Hon'ble Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, alongside other distinguished dignitaries, including Dr. Ranoj Pegu, Hon'ble Education Minister of Assam, and Sri Bimal Borah, Hon'ble Minister for Industries and Commerce, Assam.
Renowned for its commitment to academic excellence and holistic development. With state-of-the-art infrastructure, a diverse academic curriculum, and a strong emphasis on innovation, Royal Global University prepares its students for leadership roles in various sectors. Royal Global MUN 2024: The third edition of Royal Global MUN 2024 commenced on November 15, 2024, with a warm and vibrant opening ceremony. Day 1 : The event began with the traditional lighting of the lamp, followed by a thoughtful speech from the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Y.S.R. Murthy, emphasizing the importance of Model UN conferences in shaping future leaders. Next, the Prof George A.P, Dean, RSB and RSC delivered a welcome address, extending a warm greeting to all attendees and highlighting the university’s commitment to fostering global awareness and leadership. The Chief Guest, Dr. Angkita Dutta, a passionate advocate for youth empowerment and community well-being from Assam, delivered an impactful address. The RGU Confluence team presented a captivating classical dance performance, adding a touch of cultural elegance to the occasion. Secretary-General Suvankar Saha then officially declared the conference open that comprised of executive board members of various committees, including Historic Lok Sabha, Assam Vidhan Sabha, UNCSW, UNHRC, UNSC, and UNGA.

The 18th International and 54th Annual Conference of the English Language Teachers' Association of India (ELTAI) hosted by Royal Global University and Sonapur College from the 23rd of October, 2024 to the 26th of October, 2024, brought together an inspiring community of educators, researchers, and practitioners, committed to advancing English Language and Literature Teaching (ELLT) under the theme "Exploring Languages and Literatures for Evolving Pedagogical Practices." This year, set against the vibrant backdrop of Assam, the conference received an enthusiastic response from delegates, with a total of 383 presentations, including 367 paper presentations and 16 poster presentations. Participants from India and Nepal contributed actively, with 362 presentations from India and 21 from Nepal, underscoring ELTAI’s expanding international presence. Distinguished plenary speakers, Prof. Desmond L. Kharmawphlang opened with “Folk Poetics and Praxis in Storytelling: A Khasi Oral Epic", Prof. Shreesh Choudhary’s presentation on “ELT: From Here to Where?”, Rev. Dr. Francis M. Peter SJ’s talk, “Learn 2 Read; Read 2 Learn – Nudging Learners into Reading", Prof. Laxman Gnawali’s session, “Professional Development Strategies for Teachers to Thrive in Changing Times", with Dr. Debanjan Chakrabarti's conclusion of the session focussed on promoting multilingualism and literacy in India. The conference also featured engaging discussions that explored specialised themes within ELLT. The Panel Discussion on “Voices of the North East: Exploring Identity, Culture and Belonging” celebrated the rich linguistic and cultural diversity of Northeast India; while the Symposium, “Do Books and Reading Have a Future?” explored evolving reading culture as digital media becomes more dominant. The Roundtable Discussion on “AI and the Future of ELT” examined Artificial intelligence’s impact on education, exploring AI’s dual role as a tool for enhancing engagement and a challenge to traditional methods.This conference offered participants a rich blend of both foundational and forward-thinking strategies in English Language and Literature Teaching (ELLT). Workshops focused on integrating traditional teaching methods with innovative approaches, particularly in the context of rapidly evolving educational technologies. Delegates enthusiastically presented on diverse topics- 'Multidisciplinarity and Innovations in English Studies', 'Language, Literature and Values in the English Classroom', 'Northeast-Specific Themes (NEST)', 'Language, Literatures and Technology (LaLiT)', and 'India Reads'.

Guest Speaker for the occasion Prof. (Dr.) Swaroop Nandan Bora, Professor, Department of Mathematics, IIT Guwahati shared the significance of ‘Pi’ in Mathematics and its wide-ranging impact on various fields. On March 7th, 2024, students from the Department of Zoology and the Zoology Club raised awareness among drug addicts through a compelling skit and presentations at the Manbha Foundation (NGO, working for drug abuse awareness and prevention) in Shillong. Following the event, students visited Elephant Falls for recreational purposes and immersed themselves in the tribal community's cultural experience.

Royal School of Pharmacy celebrated 'National Pharmacy Education Day' as 'Pharma Anveshan' on the theme 'Leveraging Synergism: Industry-Academia Partnership for Implementation of National Education Policy' on the 6th of March, 2024. The invited speakers for the occasion Prof. (Dr.) Hemanta Kr. Sharma emphasized on incorporation of newer technologies and AI in the current curriculum to broaden the student’s perspective, while Ms. Sukirti Das, Member, Pharmacy Council of India, State Government Nominee, Assam, stressed on the collaboration of pharmaceutical industries with academic institutions for implementation of National Education Policy in the curriculum.

On February 14th, 2024, The Assam Royal Global University celebrated Saraswati Puja with great fervor and enthusiasm. The event commenced with traditional rituals invoking Goddess Saraswati, followed by prayers and offerings by students and faculty members alike. The campus was adorned with decorations, reflecting the rich cultural heritage associated with the festival. Students dressed in traditional attire added to the festive ambiance. The highlight of the celebration was the ‘Pushpanjali’ offering wherein participants offered flowers to seek blessings of the Goddess of Knowledge. Royal Global University Celebrates Republic Day 75th Republic Day was celebrated with gaiety and patriotic fervor at Royal Global University today. The tri-color was unfurled by Dr. A K Pansari, Chancellor, in the presence of Pro-Chancellor Sri A K Modi, Vice Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) SP Singh, deans, senior members from the fraternity, faculty, staff, and students.
The varsity's Literary Club 'Sigma Voice' held a colorful cultural program and filled the campus air with renditions of patriotic songs, stirring love and brotherhood. The Department of Geology at Royal Global University hosted 'TERRA TALK' on 17th May, 2024, featuring an Inter-School Debate Competition on 'Plastic Should be Globally Banned' and an Inter-College Debate Competition on 'India will Transform into a Developed Nation by 2047'. Ms. Darshana Patowary from Lorent Convent School was judged the 'Best Debater', while Ms. Aastha Saikia and Mr. Shriyansh Tiwari from St. Mary's Senior Secondary School, North Lakhimpur, were recognized as the 'Best Team' in the Inter-School Debate Competition. Runners-up Mr. Punyabrat Choudhury and Mr. Mayukh Indradev Adhikari from Delhi Public School- Guwahati proved to be tough competitors. The Inter-College Debate Competition saw enthusiastic participation from twenty-four colleges across Assam. Mr. Sunit Sarma from J.B. Law College, Guwahati, was awarded the 'Best Debater' spot, while Mr. Geetartha Bora and Mr. Jeet Pathak from Sibsagar Commerce College, were recognized as the 'Best Team'. Ms. Arunima Dhar and Ms. NiskamanaAsomiya from The Assam Royal Global University, the runners-up, gave the house considerable food-for-thought.
The biggest Job Fair in North East India was held at The Assam Royal Global University on 12th May, 2024, in the varsity campus. With over 125 companies including various reputed organisations like Wipro, HDFC Ergo, Novotel-Guwahati, L&T Finance, UpGrad, Reliance Jio, FairStar Cement, WIPRO, Marico Limited, Aditya Birla Fashion And Retail, Taj Cement, Austin Ply, Radisson Blu, GD Pharma, Kotak Life, Marriott-Shillong, Hike Education, Zenus Group, Bajaj Allianz, Taj Vivanta, Dyna Roof, Prag News, Vantage Circle, Teamlease, Yokohama Off Highway Tyres, Protech Group, Beacon Insurance, Audi Guwahati, Teleperformance, JDB Group, Lohia Group, Dyna Roof, Bharati AXA Life Insurance Company Ltd, Reliance Nippon Life Insurance, Jumbo Group, Star Cement and many others participating to finalise candidates for vacancies available at their organizations. Aimed at addressing the issue of exodus of students and skilled talent to other parts of India from the north-east, in search of higher education and jobs, The Assam Royal Global University Job Fair 2023 was designed to guarantee access to equal opportunities for each candidate as per their interest and choice of company.A record number of 1000+ candidates were expected to be placed by the end of the fair.
