Dr. Demsai Reang, Assistant Professor

Dr. Demsai Reang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Science, Royal School of Environmental and Earth Sciences, The Assam Royal Global University, Guwahati, Assam. He obtained his PhD from the Assam University on the topic ‘Forest diversity and land use/land cover of South Assam, Northeast India using Remote sensing, GIS and other conventional techniques” in 2020. He has over 09 years of research experience and has authored multiple scientific and technical publications in leading international journals, and is an active reviewer for the Journal - PLOS One published by Public Library of Science (San Francisco, California, and Cambridge, United Kingdom). He was positioned as Research Associate and Junior Research Fellow under several DST (Dept. of Science & Technology - FASTTRACK, AICP, SPLICE) Projects and also worked for the Assam State Biodiversity Board (ASBB), Govt. of India. His research areas include agroecology, conservation biology, environmental sustainability, forest inventory, landscape and natural resource management, Remote sensing and GIS application, and socio-economic vulnerability.
