My journey at Royal Global University began in 2018 when I enrolled in the MSW program, completing my studies in 2020. These two years were profoundly fulfilling, allowing me to identify and strengthen areas where I previously felt challenged. The university provided an exceptional platform that enabled me to confront my fears and develop into a more resilient and confident individual.
The campus environment and the comprehensive facilities provided by RGU contributed significantly to creating an ideal atmosphere for personal and academic growth. Beyond the physical amenities, it was the friendships I cultivated and the exemplary faculty who served as role models that profoundly influenced my personal development. Their guidance and mentorship were instrumental in shaping the person I am today.
Royal Global University not only enriched my academic knowledge but also played a pivotal role in shaping my character. My MSW program sparked a deep interest in research, which became my passion. The research experiences during my master's studies laid a solid foundation for my subsequent academic pursuits.
The enriching experience during my master's studies inspired me to pursue a PhD at the same university, where I have continued to immerse myself in knowledge-seeking and personal growth since 2018. I am deeply grateful to Royal Global University and its faculty for their unwavering support and guidance throughout my educational journey.
The lessons learned and the skills acquired at RGU will undoubtedly guide me in my future endeavors, both professionally and personally.

From the insightful theory classes to the concurrent fieldwork and the rural camp in completely different communities, each aspect of the program made learning both more interesting and experiential. The diversity of settings and the practical application of theoretical knowledge enriched the overall educational experience, making it deeply engaging and memorable. The university's infrastructure and resources are state-of-the-art, providing an ideal environment for learning and growth.
During my time at RGU, I had the privilege of joining the Rotaract Club of RGU and serving as the assistant editor for a tenure. Engaging with club members in various activities was an amazing experience. The Department of Social Work provided me with numerous opportunities to organize events both within and outside the university. Actively participating in departmental activities and immersing myself in club endeavors has been an overwhelming and cherished experience.
I cherished the diverse and inclusive community, making lifelong connections with peers from various backgrounds. The university's focus on extracurricular activities and events has helped me develop valuable soft skills and networking opportunities.RGU has provided me with a solid foundation, equipping me to tackle real-world challenges. I am now more confident, skilled, and ready to make a meaningful impact in my chosen field. I am grateful for the experience and would highly recommend Royal Global University to anyone seeking a world-class education."
My name is Moonmee Baruah, a former student of the Department of Social Work at The Assam Royal Global University. Currently, I serve as a Project Supervisor at Udayachal - A Unit of Jadav Chandra Bhuyan Memorial Trust, a role I have held since February 2021. I am immensely grateful to my alma mater, The Assam Royal Global University, and specifically the Department of Social Work, for providing me with the platform to share my journey and achievements thus far. My aspiration to enroll in a program that demanded hard work while offering transformative experiences led me to choose Social Work. This field resonated with me because of its inherent focus on supporting and empowering individuals within society. Throughout my academic journey, I have gained invaluable insights and practical skills that have enabled me to apply theoretical frameworks learned in the classroom directly to my professional practice. This experiential learning was both profound and enriching.
I am deeply appreciative of the professors who not only imparted knowledge but also went above and beyond to foster an environment conducive to academic growth and personal well-being. Their dedication instilled in me a profound sense of empathy and a commitment to making a positive impact through my work.
My current role at Udayachal has been a challenging yet fulfilling experience, as it represents my initial foray into applying social work principles to assist children and families facing difficult circumstances. The academic foundation laid during my university education equipped me with the necessary skills and confidence to tackle these challenges effectively.
While I acknowledge that I have not yet reached my ultimate career goals, I consider my journey thus far as a stepping stone towards achieving them. I am deeply grateful for the opportunities and support provided by The Assam Royal Global University, which have played a pivotal role in shaping my professional trajectory..
During my time at university, I was fortunate to engage with diverse perspectives and participate in community outreach programs that broadened my understanding of social issues and deepened my commitment to effecting positive change. The university environment, characterized by supportive faculty and peers, encouraged me to explore new ideas and challenge myself continuously. Transitioning into my role as a Project Supervisor at Udayachal was a significant milestone in my career journey. It presented challenges that demanded creativity, resilience, and a deep sense of compassion.
Looking ahead, I am committed to ongoing professional development and continuing to leverage my education and experiences to address emerging social challenges effectively. I remain deeply thankful to The Assam Royal Global University for nurturing my passion for social work and preparing me to make a difference in the lives of those in need.
“An unexamined life is not worth living, said the Greek Philosopher Socrates. Today my heart is filled with an exuberant experience as I look back my life in Royal Global University (RGU). I began my journey in RGU immediately after the great pandemic CORONA era in 2020 – 2022 in the Department of Social Work. At times whole world experienced the Global lock down to escape corona virus. Every sector experienced uncertainty and much needed protection.
Behold, the time of great resilience, in an uncompromised way RGU began the academic session providing every bit of opportunity for the growth of students. My journey at RGU was magnificent which provided the platform to architect my life.
As a Royalite, I just fell in love with RGU at first sight. The academic curriculum was exceptionally attractive with quality and affordable price. The interdepartmental disciplines also served a great subject matter. Academically every student was engaged in reading, writing and researching in innovative way. The vibrant RGU community is built upon the fraternity of brotherhood and humanity where one can feel simply at home. The lush green campus gave the sense of yet another ecological dimension. True to its name, “Royal Global”, it is a home to diverse students, cultures, customs and rich heritage. “Cleanliness is next to Godliness” is the ethos of the university.
RGU provided me every breathing space to harness my potentials and exhibit my talents. At the very out set I was honoured with Mr. Freshers, Dean’s Listers and Best Participants of Rural camp. As a class coordinator and Helping Hand Club Leader, the optimal opportunities were given to serve the students as well as staff community. Played the lead role in street play for bringing awareness on various social issues. I also grabbed the opportunity in presenting research papers both national and international level. For academic excellence I bagged Gold Medal from Department of Social Work and Chancellor’s Gold Medal at the University level. The credit goes to the university and committed faculty members for mentoring me during my journey. It was a guru-shishya relationship in my whole journey of RGU where the dedicated faculty members played assiduous role. It is a noteworthy that Dr. Priyanka Patowari, HOD of Social Work painstakingly mentored to overcome every hurdles and left no stones unturned.
Its impossible to express the attitude of gratitude in a nutshell however with outpouring of my heart, I am very much indebted to RGU for every bit of enriching laden experience.”
As I stand on the starting point of the new chapter of my life, having successfully completing the bachelor’s degree, I feel an immense sense of gratitude. RGU has been a second home for the past three years and has exceptionally changed me. The University has changed me to a whole new person and has provided me with various opportunities which I was able to grab and succeed from it. The journey has been one of the most significant and transformative periods of my life, and I owe my success to the valuable support and encouragement of the wonderful individuals from the University, i.e., my faculty members my peers, administrative staffs and also has been receiving great support from faculties of different departments.
To shape my experience and witness a great personal & professional growth, the campus life, the students from various communities and academic and co-curricular environment has been the backbone throughout the years.
The three years has surely been a roller coaster ride with suspense, which made me think whether I can be successful or not. From being the second student and the first female student from the department to receive the prestigious Deans List, to being a prime member of RGU’s first batch of Student Council, contributing my efforts as the President of Rotaract Club, being a part and taking up responsibilties of various events and also receiving academic excellence, RGU has been the backbone to my success. The environment has surely honed my personality from being an introvert to now taking up responsibilities for the department as well as the University’s without any fear.
The guidance and mentorship from my faculty members at RGU has been a source of love and encouragement of success. As I have completed my 3 years journey this year, it’s an emtional moment to bid farewell and pass down the responsibilites to the juniors but I will definetly still be a part of this prestigious university and a role model the young students. And all thanks to RGU for creating beautiful memories for me.
Reflecting on my journey at Royal Global University, I am filled with immense gratitude and pride for the experiences and growth I have undergone.
The social work program at RGU was rigorous and enriching, offering me a wealth of fieldwork opportunities in various community and organisational settings. Balancing the demands of theory papers, classes, assignments, fieldwork, and research was demanding yet incredibly rewarding. This intense schedule honed my time management skills and taught me how to work effectively under pressure, which I consider one of my greatest takeaways from RGU. Beyond academics, RGU nurtured my personal interests and talents. As an art enthusiast, I appreciated the opportunity to stay connected to art through the university’s foundational courses, where I explored diverse fields alongside my thematic course. The campus was always vibrant with concerts and a continuous stream of events, creating an engaging and lively environment. RGU has fostered my confidence and leadership skills by providing opportunities to organise events and creatively decorate departmental programs. Being part of the college basketball team was also truly exhilarating. Competing in multiple inter-college tournaments brought us together, and we relished every practice session. The memories we created were unforgettable, and we formed a different kind of close-knit bond. One of the most significant accomplishments at RGU was being awarded the gold medalist position, a recognition for which I am incredibly grateful. However, the most cherished aspect of my journey at RGU is the friendships I formed with individuals from diverse North-Eastern cultures, which was a profound privilege. Despite our varied languages and cultural backgrounds, we enriched our interactions through shared learning experiences, creating genuine bonds that I hold close to my heart and that imbued my time at RGU with a deep sense of fulfillment and joy.
I am immensely grateful to the teachers, especially those from the Social Work department for their unwavering support and guidance throughout my three-year journey at RGU. Their dedication pushed me to learn through experiences and mistakes, nurturing my independence and growth.
RGU provided me with numerous opportunities and unforgettable memories, for which I will be forever grateful. The university gave me the comprehensive college experience I sought, shaping me into the person I am today. For all these reasons, my time at RGU remains a cornerstone of my personal and professional development, and I am deeply thankful for every moment spent there.
