The Department of Political Science was established in the year 2018. The Department offers courses in BA, MA and PhD in Political Science. With some of the most talented faculties in the discipline the Department is well set to achieve greater standards of academic excellence and research outcomes in the coming years. The thrust area of the Department has been issues relating to North-East politics, Indian Government and Politics, discourses on Political Theory and debates about international relations. Graduating from the Department, the Graduates are expected to have a greater understanding of the discipline and thereby apply themselves to understand the socio-political issues. Graduating from the Department of Political Science, the students are expected to have a better opportunity to clear competitive examinations including Civil Services, NET and other such examinations.
To impart quality education that promotes active and responsible citizenship, public service, and leadership roles in various sectors. To empower students to become informed, ethical and engaged participants in political processes and decision-making.

My experience in Royal Global University has indeed been a very vibrant and transformative one. Being part of this prestigious institution has in fact lead to an overall development of my personality. One of the best parts about RGU is that it provides its students an environment where one can really be themselves and truly express and understand as to who they really are as individuals. This place, apart from academics, has also taught me many more life skills such as inculcating leadership qualities, ability to work and handle situations in diverse circumstances , improving my public speaking skills and hence gave me a sense of confidence and belief in myself. Moreover, the cooperation, encourage and support shown by my teachers has made my learning experience in the institution seamless and enjoyable.Another highlighting aspect of RGU is that it provides us with many creative ways to enhance our knowledge and extracurricular skills apart from the classroom studies. Through various seminars, speeches and programmes which are very frequently held in the institution, it has provided me with many new opportunities to participate in events from various fields which are some of the most enjoyable experiences that I'll always cherish. The institution makes sure that the best of resources are provided to its students, the top notch infrastructural facilities, pleasant environment in the campus, a resourceful library and hygienic canteen facilities has made my life in the campus enjoyable.Overall, it is a privilege to be a part of this institution as a student pursuing my master’s degree in political science. I will be forever thankful to RGU for moulding me as a person and being able to realise the confidence and self-belief in me to handle any situation that life puts in front of me.
Attending Royal Global University is one of the most transformative periods of my life. Choosing Master’s in political science as my field of study was driven by my passion for learning more about different theories and international relations. I had the opportunity to work on projects that deepened my understanding. The professors were knowledgeable and supportive, often going the extra mile to help students succeed.
Outside the classroom, I also participated in Yuvamanthan which helped me in gaining more knowledge and experience outside the curriculum. Our university is not just about academic growth; but it also encourages personal development. I learned a lot about myself, from my strengths and weaknesses to my passions and career aspirations. This experience helped me become more independent, confident, and adaptable. It also prepared me for the challenges and opportunities ahead, and I am grateful for every moment. It taught me that education extends beyond the classroom, and the experiences and relationships I built in here will always hold a special place in my heart.
My experience at Royal Global University was transformative and enriching. It was a place where I felt comfortable, confident, and rediscovered myself. The cooperative and helpful teachers were always available to guide and support, making the learning journey seamless and enjoyable. The university offers great infrastructure and a nice canteen, creating a conducive environment for both academic and personal growth.One of the standout aspects of RGU is the opportunity to take initiatives, which is where I learned essential skills for my future. The daily events and seminars ensured that I always had something new to learn and engage with. The green and clean campus provided a serene backdrop for these activities.Overall, it was a privilege to complete my bachelor's degree in political science at RGU. The experience expanded my horizons and molded me into a person ready to take on the world, equipped with the belief that even if others are not there with you, you alone are enough to create and seize opportunities.
A three-year journey at the Assam Royal Global University was the best part of my life. The curriculum, professors, administration, and resources helped me shape my graduation experience. The clubs and societies at the university offered unique opportunities for developing a well-rounded personality. Every day was filled with seminars, workshops, and talks by eminent personalities. Overall, RGU provided me with all the resources to help me become a good citizen.
I am proud and thankful to say that I was once a student at the prestigious Royal Global University, Betkuchi, Assam. Getting admission to the department of Political Science and visiting the campus for the first time was a euphoric experience. Graduating from a place that have it all – clean and hygienic campus, cooperative and supporting professors, state of the art infrastructure, elegant and resourceful library, and laboratories possessing the latest tech – was otherworldly.
