The Department of Biotechnology was established in the year 2018 with an objective of imparting quality education and carrying out of quality research in the subject area. The department provides graduate, masters and PhD programs in biotechnology, focusing on multidisciplinary skills for students to pursue careers in biotechnology and develop innovative ideas for bio-entrepreneurship. Various elective courses are floated by experienced faculty of the school, enabling the students to choose and receive specialization in the area of their research interest. The school has faculty members from reputable academic institutions and universities, with diverse and inter-disciplinary backgrounds, who align with national strategic development policies and their demands. The school’s academic and research programs provide basic to advanced infrastructure for the students to enhance their technical and innovative skills. Upon completion of the requirements of The Assam Royal Global University’s degree in biotechnology—you will be able to understand and apply basic science, perform technical skills, learn written and oral communication skills, develop critical thinking, understand the societal and environmental impact of life sciences, and realize practical perspectives of biotechnology in the private sector and government.
To produce biologists with strong ethics, integrity, acumen, and preparedness to tackle any emerging problem of global concern by fostering curated opportunities in the course area to push themselves at the global platform.

My journey at The Assam Royal Global University has been a special one. Ever since I stepped into this magnificent campus, my life has well and truly changed. The Department of Biotechnology accepted me with open arms, and its professors acted as mentors, parents, friends, and well-wishers, all in a complete package. The departmental laboratory facilities, being top-notch, gave me the perfect launching pad to gain in-depth knowledge in my particular field. In addition, the vast college campus, with its sports and canteen facilities,ensured that our college life was memorable.
