Bridging the Fundamental Research to Translational Outcomes and Innovation

1. Fundamental Research: Fundamental research lays the groundwork for understanding the mechanisms and manifestations of various phenomena. RGU is committed to develop a suitable ecosystem to foster the fundamental research.
2. Innovation-Based Research: RGU encourages and promotes collaborations between academia and industry to facilitate the translation of research outcomes into practical applications, leading to innovation and societal welfare.
3. Interdisciplinary / Multidisciplinary / Multi-Institutional Research: Interdisciplinary research fosters collaboration across different disciplines, enriching perspectives and promoting holistic problem-solving approaches. RGU encourages the Interdisciplinary/ Multidisciplinary research between different schools and departments within the university and also multi Institutional research collaborations with reputed academic institutes and organizations.
4. Integration of Indian Traditional Knowledge System: RGU aims to enrich its research vision by integrating Indian Traditional Knowledge Systems (ITKS) into its academic endeavors. This incorporation serves to promote India's rich cultural heritage, comprising Knowledge (Jnan), Science (Vignan), and Philosophy (Jeevan Darshan).
5. Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): RGU emphasizes the integration of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a primary focus of its research endeavors, with the aim of establishing a solid research framework to address contemporary challenges. Research and projects at the university are aimed at addressing bottlenecks to scientific, social, economic, cultural, and artistic advancement at the regional, national, and international levels in terms of generating and accumulating comprehensive insights to aid governments, international organizations, and local stakeholders in developing effective policies and strategies that promote economic growth, environmental sustainability, and social equity.

RGU’s commitment to foster a research ecosystem:

Royal Global University (RGU) is committed to cultivate a supportive environment for young, passionate faculty members, fostering a vibrant research ecosystem. This dedication is manifested through the provision of seed grants, infrastructural supports and incentives for igniting and sustaining research initiatives at RGU.

1. Research Support for the UG/PG Students: RGU provided one-year research grants for 83 undergraduate and postgraduate students supervised by 33 faculty members in 2022-2023. The projects were successfully completed, yielding outputs published in reputable peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings.
2. Seed Grant Policy to Nurture Enthusiastic Faculty Members: To foster the research endeavors of young and enthusiastic faculty members, RGU has approved 54 seed grants of total value, Rs. 71,800 for the fiscal year 2023-2024. The initial funds have been already disbursed.
3. Research Fellowships/ Incentives: RGU provides institutional fellowships for Ph.D. students and offers incentives to faculty members for paper publications, conference attendance, and society memberships. The goal is to encourage faculty members to actively engage in research activities, contributing to the advancement of knowledge and the university's research ecosystem.
