Mr. Sattyakee D’com Bhuyan is a multifaceted artist, academic, actor, director, playwright, and columnist, who breathes life into the world of theatre. A true philomath, he has dedicated his soul to the art of storytelling. As the founder and guiding force behind “D’Passion Collective,” Bhuyan’s creative brilliance has illuminated stages with over 25 remarkable productions. Apart from the stage he has acted in TV productions as well as Assamese Feature Films, like “Anurag”, “Asene Kunuba Hiyat”, “Aamis”, “Mission China” and others. His journey, beginning in his youth, has been one of relentless passion and purpose. A TEDx speaker and former member of the IFC- World Bank Group’s South Asia Communications Team, his influence extends beyond theatre, shaping minds through workshops in creative writing and effective communication.Previously, in 2005, he led an Indian delegation of educators to the South West Asia’s Youth Leadership Programme held in Japan, and was the Youth Ambassador of the country. Honoured as India Today’s Youth Icon in 2010, Bhuyan continues to inspire, nurture, and guide aspiring talents, leaving an indelible mark on the cultural tapestry of the nation. A columnist, his words, whether on stage or in print, are a testament to his unwavering commitment to the arts. With a Masters in Linguistics he went on to serve at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Guwahati as an Assistant Scientist (Languages) RCILTS, Dept. of Computer Science and Engineering. He is presently the Deputy Dean (DSW) at the Royal Global University and an integral member of The Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Centre for Creativity. He is a guest lecturer in the field of communications at the National Institute of Design (NID), Ahmadabad, Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Indian Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) and other institutes.
