The Central Library, RGU today can be acclaimed as one of the advanced libraries of not only Assam or northeast but also regionally and nationally, both in quality and quantity covering 23 schools in different areas and more than 95 courses. Situated in B block first floor, the library is a central hub for academic excellence and research activities. It is the core attraction of RGU campus in adopting new technology and providing knowledge gateway to a bundle of knowledge. It has documents both in print and digital formats. The library is a fully computerized one in providing service to a wide area of knowledge viz. engineering, management, architecture, law, commerce, fashion, fine arts, nursing, pharmacy, hotel & tourism management etc. The total collection today is approx. 25000+ books, 18000 e books, 25 printed journals, 67125 e-journals. It has various e resources including e journals, eBooks and e databases under different areas for access to its users. The database for the entire collection can be accessed through Online Public Access Catalogue (WebOPAC). Apart from this, the library holds a special northeast collection, competitive books corner and fiction/nonfiction corner. The library started functioning since 2009. Besides, the library has subscribed to eight daily newspapers and a number of good magazines. The library management is done by ILMS SOUL 2.0 server platform and barcode system (Jan, 2013). DSpace is used for maintaining Institutional Repository of the entire university. As a member of DELNET, the library avails various facilities of member institutions through resource sharing on demand from the users as and when required. It provides ready reference service like content list service, using both offline and online sources of information to the users.
All classrooms at RGU campus are spacious and air-conditioned & most of them are amphitheatre style. They provide the most conducive atmosphere for dynamic and focused discussions.
Classrooms at RGU have been designed to bring together analysis with action and are augmented with integrated audio-visual teaching aids for lectures, presentations etc.
