M.A. Anthropology, aside from offering relevant professional avenues to postgraduates, has been
designed to serve as a foundation for further studies and research in related fields, such as Ph.D.
Anthropology and M.Phil. in Anthropology and its several branches, that deal with the genealogy of
human development through the ages. Anthropology is the study of mankind as a whole, from its origin
unto the present day. The course aims to offer to eligible candidates advanced learning in the biological,
socio-cultural, pre-historic, and such aspects of human evolution and development. Anthropologists can
find lucrative employment opportunities in fields like law, business, and such professions, besides in

problems such as birth control, labor unrest, juvenile delinquency, mortality rate, and such can be
analyzed correctly and dealt with, by means of the information gathered from anthropological studies.
The course offers to those interested, the opportunity to work and relate to people of diverse groups and
cultures, and to closely interact with them.
