AICTE - ISTE Sponsored

Faculty Development Programme

Recent Trends in Energy Sector
(with special emphasis on North-East)

18th June - 23rd June, 2018

Hello There

India is an emerging economy. It is already an IT hub and is striving to become the manufacturing hub of the world as well. Besides, it is also rapidly improving its infrastructure by building up a lot of new roads, bridges, hospitals etc. All these activities are making India an energy hungry nation. For long, the country has relied on Conventional Sources of energy but those sources are drying up fast. To address all these issues, India needs to nurture a new breed of engineers, technologists who would be able to develop new technologies to reduce dependency on Conventional Sources of Energy and utilize the vast reserve of Non Conventional Sources which have not yet been successfully tapped in plenty. To nurture the engineers of tomorrow, the teachers of today need to be fully aware of such activities that are happening all around the world. Hence, a Faculty Development Programme (FDP), has to be conducted to acquaint the teachers with the latest in the field of energy so that they can carry the same to the students. The knowledge thus transferred will render the world of education richer and wiser.
