Programme Overview:

The study of Philosophy is an academic discipline that investigates the thoughts and ideas that govern our lives, politics and society. The Bachelor of Philosophy programme helps students develop critical thinking skills, linguistic ability and the ability to defend a reasoned point of view. Students also learn to critique world-views and come to their own ideas on what is true and how to live. The three year B.A. (Hons.) in Philosophy offers a wide-ranging areas of philosophy that will acquaint the students with different schools of philosophy. This comprehensive curriculum is meticulously designed to cultivate researchers with a bent for philosophical interpretations and engagements with society. The faculty at the Royal School of Humanities and Social Science follow an interactive, innovative and pragmatic teaching methodology which enables the students to develop an interest in studying the programme besides participating in other co-curricular activities.
